Ford Explorer Base

The base Ford Explorer trim level starts out strong with already impressive capabilities. With the standard 2.3L EcoBoost® engine, this model can pump out 300 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. Other standard features include a Reverse Sensing System with Rear Parking Sensors.

Take a look inside to find rich cloth upholstery and standard front bucket seats. Other niceties in this Ford Explorer trim level include the 50/50 split-folding third row that opens up the interior and allows for up to 87.8 cu.ft. of storage space behind the third row.
Want an interior upgrade? The Ford Explorer ST-Line is for you, featuring ActiveX™ seating material and Miko® inserts. Red stitching throughout the cabin adds to the aesthetic, and driver and passengers alike will love the B&O® Sound System. The best part? The standard 2.3L EcoBoost® engine can get drivers an EPA-estimated 20 MPG city and 28 MPG highway.

All of the Ford Explorer trim levels are capable of taking on off-road trails, but the Ford Explorer Timberline was made for adventure. Designed with improved ground clearance and steel skid plates to protect your vehicle, you'll be able to brave the rough terrain confidently. Some noticeable exterior upgrades include a unique Timberline grille and 18-inch high gloss black aluminum wheels.
Sit back and relax with heated and ventilated leather-trimmed seating in the Ford Explorer Limited. This is also the first Ford Explorer trim level available as a hybrid. Check out the available 3.3L hybrid engine that can deliver 318 horsepower and 322 lb.-ft. of torque. Customers can also benefit from up to 5,000 lbs. of towing power.

The engine gets a noticeable upgrade in the Ford Explorer ST with the standard 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 engine, featuring impressive specs like 400 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque. The interior is performance-inspired and features an ST logo, City Silver accent stitching, and premium leather seating.
Add a Southwestern feel to your ride with the Ford Explorer King Ranch. This Ford Explorer trim level brings rugged luxury to the lineup, featuring Mesa Del Rio leather seating and the ability to tow up to 5,600 lbs. when equipped properly.

Style and performance are at the forefront of the Ford Explorer Platinum. A Tri-Diamond leather interior creates a refined atmosphere, and an available twin-panel moonroof opens up the interior. The 12-speaker B&O® Sound System comes standard on this model, and the refined 3.0L engine is great for performance.
